Seriously Scans — operated by Seriously Brands LLC. Last updated 14 August 2026.
Seriously Scans is reached at seriouslyscans.com (older links via
comicscan.seriously-it.com continue to work), and older parts
of the application may still say Comic Scanner or
CoverCall. All of these names refer to the same service, operated by
the same company, under this policy.
Seriously Scans helps a seller turn photographs of comic books into draft eBay listings. It identifies each book, suggests a price from public eBay sales data, and prepares a listing the seller can edit. Publishing a listing for sale is always an action the seller takes deliberately — one item at a time, on a listing they have reviewed, with the condition set by hand. Seriously Scans never publishes automatically, never publishes in bulk, and never grades a book on the seller's behalf.
drive.file), which lets the
app see only the folders and files it creates or that you explicitly choose. We
cannot see the rest of your Drive. We read your images to identify the books in them,
and we do not keep copies of them after processing. One narrow exception: corner
close-ups cut from a book's front and back shots are kept on our server so you can
choose to include them in a listing. They are derived images, clearly marked as
such, never used for identification, never written back to your Drive, and kept
until you delete your account — see the account-deletion right below.
Seriously Scans never sets a price. We show you what comparable copies are listed at; you decide what your book is worth and type the number yourself.
Only the service providers needed to do the job you asked for: Google (Drive storage and sign-in), eBay (draft creation and public sold-listing data), Anthropic (cover identification from your images), comic reference databases used for identification, and Stripe (subscription payments — Stripe handles card details directly; we never receive or store card numbers).
We participate in eBay's marketplace account deletion/closure notification programme.
When eBay notifies us that a user's eBay account has been closed or deleted, we delete
the eBay-derived data we hold for that account — the stored eBay credentials and the
identifier linking that eBay account to our service. Our notification endpoint is
https://seriouslyscans.com/api/ebay/account-deletion.
Generated drafts remain available for editing for a retention window (30 days by default, configurable per organisation), after which they are archived. Your photographs live in your own Google Drive and are under your control — deleting them there deletes them. You may request deletion of your Seriously Scans account and its data at any time using the contact address below.
All traffic is served over HTTPS. Stored third-party credentials are encrypted at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to the operator of the service.
Seriously Scans is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where the change affects how we handle your data, notify signed-in users in the app.
